Paulus Schäfer and Dominique Paats: two virtuosi on guitar and harmonica who play with heart and soul. And that is what you can hear, see and sense! Their joy in playing and their boundless talent for improvisation guarantee a smashing and swinging live music performance.

Their performance is unpredictable with a complete musical freedom to perform to the enjoyment of the audience and the musicians themselves. Their music is based on intuition and their skills make their performance look surprisingly easy. Both take turns in playing solos, anticipate each other playing, communicate through their musical instruments, take each other to higher levels in a musical game while always showing the highest respect for each other’s musical and personal input. The rhythm section with Romino Grünholz and Noah Schäfer is pure and solid.  Two surprising tracks on the album are songs written in the dialect of the most southern major city in The Netherlands called Maastricht, by Roger Villevoye, a Dutch singer/songwriter.

Paulus Schäfer en Dominique Paats : twee virtuozen op gitaar en accordeon die met hart en ziel spelen. Dat is wat je hoort, ziet én voelt. Hun speelplezier en grenzeloos improvisatietalent  staan voor een aanstekelijke en swingende muziekshow.

Er bestaat geen opgelegd pandoer maar een pure improvisatievrijheid die zowel publiek als muzikanten doet genieten. Het intuïtieve spel wordt schijnbaar met het grootste gemak ten gehore gebracht. De twee wisselen voortdurend solo’s uit, reageren op elkaar, communiceren via hun instrumenten, zwepen elkaar op in een muzikaal spel en laten telkens hun waardering voor elkaars inbreng blijken. Verrassend zijn de twee nummers op het cd album van de zanger Roger Villevoye in het dialect van Maastricht de meest zuidelijke stad van Nederland.
