[NE]Sologitarist Reppie Corvers leert op heel jonge leeftijd gitaar spelen. Helemaal niets bijzonders in de gipsygemeenschap. In de dorpjes Nuenen, Gerwen, Son en Breugel hebben vele jonge talenten, zoals Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Jimmy Rosenberg en Eddie Grünholz, leren spelen van hun grote voorbeelden als Stochelo Rosenberg en Wasso Grünholz. Zowat elke dag wordt er wel met elkaar gespeeld en van elkaar geleerd.
De start van de muzikale loopbaan van Reppie begint in 2004. In 2005 staat hij met Johnny Rosenberg in de finale van het Nederlandse Songfestival. Ze behalen een 3de plaats. Als sologitarist van Trio Johnny Rosenberg staat hij op vele (inter-) nationale podia, zoals Khamoro Festival Praag (CZ), Sziget Festival (H), International Gypsy Guitar Festival Gossington (UK), Stockholm (S) en zelfs in Joe Zawinul's 'Birdland' in Wenen (A).
In 2006 werkt de groep aan hun debuut album: 'Nothing But een G-Thing'. Deze wordt in 2007 op het Sinti Music label uitgebracht en gepresenteerd in een uitverkochte 'Dynamo' in Eindhoven. Jammer genoeg eindigt dan de korte en dynamische bestaan van dit trio.
Nadat het enige tijd stil is rond Reppie Corvers komt in 2010 zijn muzikale rentree. Zijn eerste presentatie met zijn nieuwe formatie Reppie Corvers Group is op Django Fest in Tilburg in 2011. Met een fantastische ritmeformatie: Noah Schäfer op contrabas en Daniël Rosenberg op slaggitaar.
Reppie heeft de afgelopen jaren in stilte gewerkt aan nieuwe eigen composities en zijn grote wens is dit ook op een nieuw album uit te brengen. We gaan weer van hem horen.

Solo-guitarist Reppie Corvers learned to play guitar at a very young age. Nothing special in the gipsy community. In the small villages of Nuenen, Gerwen, Son en Bruegel, many young talents like: Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Jimmy Rosenberg and Eddie Grünholz learned how to play from their great examples Stochelo Rosenberg and Wasso Grünholz. Just about every day they play with each other and learn from each other.
The start of Reppie's musical voyage starts in 2004. In 2005 he stands alongside Johnny Rosenberg at the finale of the dutch songfestival. They end up in third place. As solo-guitarist of the trio Johnny Rosenberg he performs on many (inter-) national stages, like Khamoro Festival Prague (CZ), Sziget Festival (H), Int. Gypsy Guitar Festival Gossington (UK), Stockholm (S) and even Joe Zawinul's 'Birdland' in Vienna (A).
In 2006, the group works on their debut album: 'Nothing but a G-Thing'. This album is released in 2007 under the Sinti Music label and presented in a sold out 'Dynamo' in Eindhoven. Sadly enough the short and dynamic existence of this trio will come to an end.
After a short silence around Reppie Corvers, he makes his musical comeback in 2010. His first presentation with his new formation, Reppie Corvers Group, is on Django Fest in Tilburg in 2011. With a fantastic rhythm-formation: Noah Schäfer on the contrabass and Daniël Rosenberg on rhythmic guitar.
Reppie has worked previous years in silence on his new compositions and his greatest wish is to publish these on a new album. We will hear from him soon.
